"We went to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the Groening museum in Brugges, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts and the Magritte museums in Brussels, and the Kroller-Muller museum in Arnhem (Netherlands). E. had a lot to say about the different artists and styles, and the evolution of perspective. She recognized a sculpture at the Kroller-Muller museum that you had shown her when you did the unit on wire sculpture. A. also recognized some of the different works, and we created a scavenger hunt in the Rijksmuseum for the kids. She enthusiastically found all of the items and in the process, visually scoured each of the paintings. She especially like the painting "The Milkmaid" by Vermeer. You have taught the girls so much -- it was fun and interesting to talk to them as we walked through the museums." (Parent of a High School and Elementary School student)
